This year for St. Patrick’s Day, we were lucky enough to get to all enjoy it together and it was so fun being able to celebrate on the weekend. We had some fun this year continuing a tradition we began last year of building a leprechaun trap to capture the tricky and sneaky leprechaun. Have any of you had any luck capturing a leprechaun?! Would love to hear about your fun ideas for traps and any traditions you might have to celebrate the luck of the Irish.
We decked out our trap with lots of colorful rainbows and gold to trick the leprechaun with. The next morning we were surprised to find we caught his pants! Vince was so excited and thought it was hilarious that the leprechaun was missing his pants. We saw that the leprechaun left us some clues which we had a blast following all around the house. He led us to all different areas where we found all the mischief he had been up to all night. Tipped over chairs, crooked decorations, painting his beard on the bathroom mirror with shaving cream, turning our milk green and more. The best part of it all though was finally finding the treasure he left for us filled with treats and fun trinkets for us to all have.
We may not have captured the leprechaun but I’m lucky enough to have two handsome troublemaker leprechaun’s of my own. I sure did find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow with these two. We are so excited to try making a even better trap next year and we can’t wait to tell you all about it!
Until next time,
Sam
