This year I thought I would share some easy tips and tricks to make your 4th of July even more of a breeze. We all like to know any hacks to make our lives easier especially for holidays when we are already so busy planning and getting everything together. Here are my top favorite hacks to use this 4th and also just for summer in general.
1. No Drip fingertips!
Have you guys ever had a popsicle or ice cream treat where your hands ended up being perfectly clean at the end of eating every last delicious bite? I know mine never have until now! This simple and easy trick makes eating your tasty treat that much more enjoyable now that you don’t have to worry about your hands getting dripped on and sticky. Just simply place a cupcake tin on the bottom of your treat and watch as all the drips fall into the holder instead of your hands! It’s amazing and so so easy!
2. Totes going to love this
How many of us get to the beach or campsite or wherever our summer destination of choice may be and we realize we forgot that essential everyone needs. Sunscreen, bug spray, Kleenex, you name it. Creating a essentials carry on tote is so great for this very reason! You always just keep it stocked with everything you need and when it is time to head out the door, you just grab and go!
Now when you go to your summer destination, you don’t have to worry about forgetting the sunscreen because it will all be in your handy dandy tote. I like putting sunscreen, bug spray, baby powder (will be talking about this later), Kleenex, aloe, mini fans, anti bacterial wipes, hand sanitizer and more! Anything you think is essential works to put in here for easy access. You can find these totes at your local dollar store which makes it even better!
3. Staying afloat
How many of you get all comfortable out on the water, floating away on the lake enjoying the nice breeze and soaking up the sun rays. There is just one thing missing to make this scene even better, a nice ice cold beverage in your hand.
Check out this fun and easy way to bring the ice cold beverages coming while you are out on the water! All it takes is some pool noodles, a Tupperware container and some string. Super simple to make and comes with tons of benefits. Best invention to make a lazy day even lazier. Tie this fun floating cooler to your floating device and let the good times roll.
4. Toes in the sand
We all know how tough it can be getting all that sand off after a long day at the beach. It gets all between our toes, sticks to our skin and just finds itself everywhere after we leave the beach. The trick to blow all that sand away and not to worry about it tagging along with you anymore is by using baby powder.
Just simply poor it on and rub it in on your skin and watch as it magically wipes away the sand. I then just take a dry towel and wipe away the baby powder to find myself some perfectly sand free skin again. This trick works wonders and I wish I had known it sooner for all those sand in my toes days.
5. Star spangled sunburnt
Everyone loves having fun in the sun all day long, especially on the 4th! We are all out watching a parade, grilling, out on the water, playing yard games and more. It’s def the perfect day to get outside and have a blast. Sometimes after all that fun in the sun, even though we caked on the sunscreen, we still find ourselves getting burnt. The worst feeling in the world is going to bed with sunburn or even having to feel it throughout the next day. My solution for you is to try aloe gel ice cubes! Just simply pour some aloe into a ice cube tray and freeze. Then when you got a sunburn coming on, rub some of the aloe cubes onto the burn and feel the icy cool relief of the pain going away. If too cold, place some cubes inside of a towel and then place on burn.
6. Sparkle with delight into the night
What’s a 4th of July celebration without sparklers?! They are for sure a classic summer hit and they still excite me after all these years. One downfall with sparklers however is that they can be a bit dangerous. Sparks can fly out and burn your skin and really hurt! Here is a tip to protect you and still enjoy the fun sparklers have to offer!
Amazingly simple, easy and safe solution! Just poke the end of the sparkler handle into the bottom of a plastic cup. Place your hand inside the cup to hang onto the handle and watch the sparks light up the sky!
There you have it! 6 fun hacks for your 4th of July and summer! I hope these tips and tricks help to make your holiday and summer a breeze. Let me know in the comments below if you would like to see more of these kinds of posts, always love to hear your feedback! Have a happy 4th everyone!!
