What a beautiful fall it has been! I have been so busy having so much fun with all the fall activities and events. It is my favorite time of the year and I can never get enough of it. One of my favorite traditions of the season is going to a local farm for the day to pick a pumpkin. Another great perk of going to the farm is getting to go on a hayride, walk through a corn maze, apple picking and so much more! Every year I try to go some place different just to switch it up. Being that I live in Minnesota, there are tons of options of farms to go to. This year we took a little drive over to Gilby’s Orchard and Nursey. They were on the top ten farms this year! The farm was beautiful and had so much to offer! I loved how well their corn maze was set up as well as how they offered a very unique and fun experience using their apple blaster. We got to actually take real apples and launch them out of a sling shot towards targets. How fun is that?! It was a blast! Hence the name, apple blaster. They also had a petting zoo, chickens to feed and a hay bale ninja course. The only bummer I found to see with this farm was that we didn’t actually get to pick our pumpkins out of the patch. They were already picked and just available to choose from by their store. I personally love actually going out to the patch to pick my own pumpkin. However, the pumpkins they picked were great! They had so many various sizes and they all were very nice healthy and fresh pumpkins. Gilby’s will definitely be staying on my list of favorites to return to again.
