Hey everyone! Long time no see, it has been one heck of a winter and beginning of spring this year. We have been busy busy with all sorts of fun and exciting things that I can’t wait to share with you all soon. With being busy meant not having a whole lot of time to write but not to worry because there is so much more coming your way now. I have big plans coming and also have found more time to dedicate towards the blog which I couldn’t be more thrilled about. Who else is excited to see what is in store?!
It feels so nice to get that cold chill of winter out of the way and start making a fresh start on not just our everyday lives but also on ourselves. That is what I plan on doing first is to focus on myself. I have the biggest spring fever like you cannot believe. Living in Minnesota means having all sorts of ups and downs with the weather. We get teased with 80 degree weather one day and then reminded of where we live again with 40 degree weather the next day. lol It is such a fun cycle but for some reason I love it. Those super nice days are what get me motivated and I love getting to get out and go explore all the outdoors has to offer.
One of my favorite places to visit during the spring and summer season is the Portland Malt Shoppe in Duluth. Even on the chilliest of days in the spring, you still patiently wait in line to get that delicious creamy taste of ice cream, whipped cream and a cherry on top. Also, I can’t forget to mention the perfect crunchy taste of a wafer cookie you get to dip into your sweet treat. These malts are to die for! No matter how long the line is, it is worth the wait!
Speaking of waiting, thanks to all of you out there patiently waiting for me to come back to action. I apologize it has taken so long but just like these malts, it will be worth the wait.
I couldn’t help but laugh a little when I decided to visit my favorite ice cream treasure chest because it was one of those spring days where you need more than a couple layers on to avoid having to pull out your winter coat you already stored away on that 80 degree day where you thought summer weather was here to stay lol I tend to make sure I have multiple layers on during Minnesota spring weather just in case it does get warmer or cooler, I can always add or take away a layer.
In this particular outfit I happen to be wearing five layers, yes I said five haha. I always have a cami on to begin any outfit, next I added my favorite “Coffee, Lakes, and Bonfires” baseball styled tee, then I snuggled up in my fleece zip-up hoodie, then added a fun little pattern with my black flannel, and to top it all off with a cherry on top I added my fun flannel denim jacket. One might think five layers would feel all stiff and uncomfortable but trust me with the right pieces, you will be glad you did.
Hope you all enjoyed my first official back to blogging post. Can’t wait to hear from you all soon!
xoxo
Sam
